The iEARN environmental camps associated with Gymnázium Šrobárova (Košice) and the Open Society Foundation (OSF – Nadácia otvorenej spoločnosti) was an international student program for secondary schools. Historically supported by OSF grants 1998-2001. These projects combined experiential learning in the Tatras with ecology. We hosted 80 students from several Central European countries, as well as from Kazakhstan and the USA. Students worked alongside Peace Corps volunteers Dan Lowman, Robin Sindelar, Siobahn&Dan Lockhart, Dui Smolka and teachers Joko Vrabel, Lori Berkemayer from Gymnazium Srobarova Kosice and Jonah Wittkamper, Jason Gerber from NYC.
